what is his name, and what is his son's name?

Who hath ascended up into heaven, or descended? who hath gathered the wind in his fists? who hath bound the waters in a garment? who hath established all the ends of the earth? what is his name, and what is his son's name, if thou canst tell?     - Proverbs 30:4

Praise JESUS

I am amazed whenever I read this chapter in Proverbs in the Holy Bible. This person Agur (means "the one who is brave in the pursuit of wisdom") says, "Surely I am more brutish than any man, and have not the understanding of a man. I neither learned wisdom, nor have the knowledge of the holy" verse2, 3, but when we read verse4, the questions he put, tells us how much more he knew about the LORD. We could see his words of his wisdom in the entire chapter.

Agur knew about the Son of LORD, even hundreds of years before the SON of GOD come in to this world. The Holy Bible tells us that the SON of GOD lived among us. John 1:14 says, "And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth", and also Matthew 1:21 says ".. thou shalt call his name JESUS".

Agur put many questions in the Proverbs 30:4. Let me also try to put some questions.

But why should the SON of GOD come to this world and live among us?

The Holy Bible tells us in John 3:16, 17, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved”.

But why should we get saved?

The Holy Bible tells us in Romans 3:23, “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God

When GOD created Adam and Eve HE created them in HIS image, as perfect holy people and covered them with HIS Glory. Once Adam and Eve committed sin by disobeying the LORD, the sinful nature entered into human race, and all now all of humanity is immersed in sin. We are sinners not because we commit sin, but we commit sin because we are sinners. We need a Savior to take us out from this miserable situation, this sinful nature. So, Son of GOD, JESUS CHRIST came to this world to save us. The Holy Bible tells us in Matthew 1:21, “thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins

And now how to get saved?

A jailor asked the same question to Apostle Paul in Acts 16:30, and Paul replied, “…Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house” Acts 16:31

Also Romans 10:9, 10 says, “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation”

And also LORD JESUS CHRIST said in Mark 16:16, “He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

Now, people have different opinions on how to get baptized? Some say, sprinkle some water on a person to get baptized, others say, go through a flag you get baptized and other say you have to immerse in the water to get baptized.

We will see what the scripture says on how to get baptism.

The world baptism came from the Greek world “baptizo” which means immerse. During the baptism, people should be immersed into the water. The Holy Bible tells us in Romans 6:4, “Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life

We can see, LORD JESUS CHRIST took immerse baptism in Matthew 3:13, “Then cometh Jesus from Galilee to Jordan unto John, to be baptized of him”, to sprinkle some water, He no need to go to river Jordan.

Acts 8:36 says, Phillip gave immerse baptism to the treasurer of the queen of Ethiopia, to sprinkle some water they no need to stop in some place where they could find some water, they would have taken with the water they have for drinking.

From the scripture, we could conclude that baptism should be taken by immersing in the water, symbolizes that person gets buried for his/her sinful nature.

And finally to complete the salvation, we should go to a good Bible based Church. The Holy Bible tells us in Acts 2:47, “And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved”. I can recommend you to go to any Pentecostal Churches (Acts 2:1) like the Assemblies of God.

Dear reader, if you are not saved and going to a Church, you can also follow the above steps and get saved.

What does the HOLY BIBLE say about corruption?

Praise JESUS

By justice a king gives a country stability, but one who is greedy for bribes tears it down. Proverbs 29:4

Growth of any country is inversely proportionate to corruption. If corruption in a country increases, its growth decreases. Many of the third world countries today suffer to grow because of corruption. When corruption increases, on its surge, it takes with it violence, lawlessness, immorality, etc. When we look at a corrupt society in many ways it will be an immoral society. Some of the corrupt countries are ruled by dictators. Some of the corrupt countries don’t have freedom for media. Some of the corrupt countries do not have religious freedom. A woman named Ri Hyon Ok was executed publicly in North Korea for distributing the Holy Bible, and her family members were sent to prison. You can see the details in the following link:

SEOUL, South Korea — North Korea publicly executed a Christian woman last month for distributing the Bible, which is banned in the communist nation, South Korean activists said Friday.

Ri Hyon Ok, 33, was also accused of spying for South Korea and the United States and organizing dissidents. She was executed in the northwestern city of Ryongchon near the border with China on June 16, according to a report from an alliance of several dozen anti-North Korea groups.

Ri's parents, husband and three children were sent to a political prison camp in the northeastern city of Hoeryong the following day, the report said, citing unidentified documents it says were obtained from North Korea. It showed a copy of Ri's North Korean government-issued photo ID. It is virtually impossible to verify such reports about secretive North Korea, where the government tightly controls the lives of its citizens and does not allow dissent.

On Thursday, an annual report from a state-run South Korean think tank on human rights in the North said that public executions, though dropping in number in recent years, were still carried out for crimes ranging from murder to circulating foreign movies.

North Korea claims to guarantee freedom of religion for its 24 million people but in reality severely restricts religious observances. The cult of personality surrounding national founder Kim Il Sung and his son, current leader Kim Jong Il, is a virtual state religion.

The government has authorized four state churches, one Catholic, two Protestant and one Russian Orthodox, but they cater to foreigners and ordinary North Koreans cannot attend. However, defectors and activists say more than 30,000 North Koreans are believed to practice Christianity secretly.

The U.S. State Department reported last year that "genuine religious freedom does not exist" in North Korea.

"North Korea appears to have judged that Christian forces could pose a threat to its regime," Do Hee-youn, a leading activist, told reporters, claiming public executions, arrest and detention of North Koreans are prevalent.

The fundamental reason for the corruption is greedy of the administrators. The HOLY BIBLE tells us in Proverbs 29:4 “.. but one who is greedy for bribes tears it down”. The people who does the corruption are not poor, they have all sufficient but they are greed for money and keep on accumulating it. They don’t know the LORD removes the wealth they earned. The HOLY BIBLE tells us in Proverbs 10:3 ".. but he casteth away the substance of the wicked". When a person leaves his wealth earned by corruption to his descendents, he not only leaves the wealth for his descendents but also the curse he brought with it. The HOLY BIBLE tells us in Proverbs 15:6, ".. but in the revenues of the wicked is trouble."

Another reason was to influence in the judgment. The HOLY BIBLE tells us in Proverbs 17:23, “A wicked man accepts a bribe in secret to pervert the course of justice”. In many third world countries the increase in lawlessness is because of bribe.

The LORD commanded in Exodus 23:28, “Do not accept a bribe, for a bribe blinds those who see and twists the words of the righteous.”

In the HOLY BIBLE we could see an honest Judge named Samuel. He was not only a Judge but also a ruler. He was also a Prophet of the LORD. He challenged to the crowed like this..

"Behold, here I am: witness against me before the LORD, and before his anointed: whose ox have I taken? or whose ass have I taken? or whom have I defrauded? whom have I oppressed? or of whose hand have I received any bribe to blind mine eyes therewith? and I will restore it you." 1 Samuel 12:3

In the HOLY BIBLE, we could see another administrator; a tax collector named Zacchaeus, lived when Romans occupied the Jews. The tax collectors were not liked by the Jews at that time and they were treated like traitors. When our LORD JESUS CHRIST entered the house of Zacchaeus, Zacchaeus repented for his sins and said,

“And Zacchaeus stood, and said unto the Lord; Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor; and if I have taken any thing from any man by false accusation, I restore him fourfold.” Luke 19:8.

Once Zacchaeus repented and confessed his sins to the LORD JESUS CHRIST, the HOLY BIBLE tells us, “And Jesus said unto him, This day is salvation come to this house, forsomuch as he also is a son of Abraham.“ Luke 19:9.

When we see passage Luke 19:8, we could see what Zacchaeus had done to get saved. He had done two things.

First, he accepted JESUS CHRIST as LORD of his life. The HOLY BIBLE tells us in Romans 10:9, “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”

Second, Zacchaeus confessed his sins to the LORD JESUS CHRIST. The HOLY BIBLE tells us in 1 John 1:9, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” Also the HOLY BIBLE tells us in 1 John 1:7, “…the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.”

Dear reader, if you are not saved, you can also do the above two steps what Zacchaeus had done and be get saved.

How to receive pardon for our sins?

He who conceals his sins does not prosper, but whoever confesses and renounces them finds mercy
(Proverbs 28:13)

Praise JESUS

Some time back, I read a story of how a prisoner got pardon from a king. The story goes like this...

A king on his birthday decided to pardon few criminals. So the king went to the prison and asked every prisoner what was the reason for their punishment? Almost all but one said, I am innocent and I am here because of the mistakes made by the law enforcement officials. But one criminal said, I did such and such a mistake and I deserve to be in the prison, that's why I am here. The king got surprised and said, "It is not good to keep a criminal in midst of innocents, send this criminal out from the midst of these innocents".

Though it was just a story it has all the essence of how to receive pardon.

Our Lord JESUS CHRIST had said many small stories. HE said one story on how to receive pardon and Justification from the LORD. It is mentioned in the Gospel of Luke 18:10-14,“Two men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. The Pharisee stood up and prayed about himself: ‘God, I thank you that I am not like other men—robbers, evildoers, adulterers—or even like this tax collector. I fast twice a week and give a tenth of all I get.’ “But the tax collector stood at a distance. He would not even look up to heaven, but beat his breast and said, ‘God, have mercy on me, a sinner.’ “I tell you that this man, rather than the other, went home justified before God. For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted”

We could see the some thin line of similarities between the above two stories.

The Holy Bible tells us, “… he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.” 1 John 2:2.

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness” 1 John 1:9

Once we made the confession, we should make up our mind not to repeat the same sin again. The genuine repentance puts its best effort not to repeat the same sin. It doesn’t mean that we will never fall again, but when our LORD JESUS CHRIST sees our dedication, HE will definitely give us the grace overcome the sin.

Only JESUS CHRIST alone can take us to into heaven. Let us ask pardon for our sins and trust him to take us to heaven, the rest is assured.

Hallelujah
