Thought of the Day – Receiving the HOLY SPIRIT

Thought of the Day – Receiving the HOLY SPIRIT

Praise JESUS

“… Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh” Galatians 5:16

There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit” Romans 8:1

In our walk with LORD JESUS CHRIST, some people may fall in their walk because of some sin in their life. In this devotion we will see how to overcome this.

Isaac Newton understood about the gravitational force of the earth when he observed the falling of an apple from the tree. The earth has the gravitational force and it pulls any object that is thrown in the air. If the object should not fall, it has to go out of the gravitational force of the earth.

In the same way, there is a world of sin around us and it constantly pulls peoples down, to get out from falling, we should stay out of the force of the sin. The Holy Bible tells us, “… Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh” Galatians 5:16, “Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty” 2 Corinthians 3:17.

We can lead a holy life and escape from the snares of the devil only with the help from the HOLY SPIRIT. HE helps us to lead a holy and acceptable life.

The LORD said, “And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh:…” Acts 2:17

Dear Reader, if you have not yet received the HOLY SPIRIT into you then call HIM to live inside you. If you ask the HOLY SPIRIT to live in you with hunger for HIM, HE will surely come and live in you. The Holy Bible tells us, “If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?” Luke 11:13.

Hallelujah

Thought of the Day – JESUS the NAME above all

Thought of the Day – JESUS the NAME above all

Praise JESUS

The name of the LORD is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe
Proverbs 18:10

Moses asked the GOD about HIS name, HE said, “… I AM THAT I AM …” Exodus 3:14. This refers the unchanging nature of GOD, yes the Holy Bible tells us, “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever” Hebrews 13:8. On the other side, if we look at the name “I AM”, this sentence is yet to complete.

Lord JESUS CHRIST said,
I am the way, the truth, and the life”, John 14:6
I am the resurrection, and the life”, John 11:25
I am that bread of life”, John 6: 48

We can fill whatever is our need

LORD JESUS CHRIST is our HEALER (Isaiah 53:5) – JEHOVAH Rapha
LORD JESUS CHRIST is our PROVIDER (Luke 9:17, Matthew 17:27) – JEHOVAH Jireh
LORD JESUS CHRIST is our PEACE (John 14:27) – JEHOVAH Shalom

LORD JESUS CHRIST is all sufficient and HIS name is above all names.
HE is always with us (Matthew 28:20). HE is our JEHOVAH Shamah

Hallelujah

Thought of the Day - Spread the Word of GOD through the Internet

Thought of the Day -
Spread the Word of GOD through the Internet

Praise JESUS

"The Lord gave the word: great was the company of those that published it" Psalm 68:11

Today, Internet is polluted with filthiness.

Let us, populate it with the unchanging Word of God.

For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart” Hebrews 4:12

Hallelujah.

New Year Wishes - Have a Blessed New Year

New Year Wishes - Have a Blessed New Year

Thou crownest the year with thy goodness; and thy paths drop fatness.

Psalms 65:11 (KJV)

Praise JESUS

This is the first devotion I write in this year. Today is 1-Jan-2010. I like to wish all who read this devotion to have a Blessed New Year. A thought came to my mind that it would be better to wish to have a Blessed New Year than to say Happy New Year.

Happiness may come and go, but Blessing stays on the head of the righteous person. The Holy Bible tells us, "Blessings are upon the head of the just:” Proverbs 10:6 (KJV). The Blessing will rest on the head of any righteous person. So let us all have a Blessed New Year.

What is the significance of celebrating the New Year?

Today, many people around the world celebrate the New Year, I was thinking on what is the significance of the celebration?

First, We Christians go to the Church for the watch night prayer during the New Year Celebration, seeking the LORD, saying to the LORD JESUS CHRIST, we came to offer you the first fruit of the year (time).  The GOD will give us a special blessing when we give our first fruits to the LORD.

The LORD graciously taken me to visit New York, USA during Feb-2009, I visited a place called times square. The guide told me, each year many people gather in that place to celebrate the New Year. People started to gather even from the afternoon of Dec-31.

A group of people goes to Church to worship the LORD JESUS CHRIST. Another group goes to many hotels, theme parks etc to celebrate with alcohol.

For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand …" Psalm 84:10

Second, till yesterday, when we think of the struggles, sufferings, humiliations, pain etc, they were more difficult even to think about them. But today, when we think of them, we are also remained that it was in last year. A touch of healing comes in whenever a new year born. We try to forget few things and try to press in for the new year with new hope.
“…the LORD bindeth up the breach of his people, and healeth the stroke of their wound” Isaiah 30:26

New Year resolution

Many people if not all of us, make resolution during the New Year day so that they can keep them in their life for years to come. I have few suggestions …

First let us examine our life and check are there any ways still we can improve our self?

he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still” Revelation 22:11

Let us try to sharpen our self to lead more Holy life and more righteous life than what we live currently. The Holy Bible tells us, “And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?” 1 Peter 4:18.

Second, in this year, we shall put more control on our tongues

Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks” Ephesians 5:4

Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers” Ephesians 4:29

Praise JESUS
